COVID-19: Message
from MYSG Chair

Dear MYSG members,

As a result of the Covid-19 virus, the Manchester Young Solicitors Group has decided to postpone all events until further notice. We will review the situation over the coming months and we will try to re-arrange postponed events if and when possible, however we do ask that you are patient with us whilst we decide on the appropriate action to take. Our intention is to keep our members, sponsors and committee members safe and to avoid unnecessary contact.

In the current climate, we are also very conscious that now more than ever we should be keeping active, and prioritising our mental and physical health in a safe way. We want to continue to work with our MYSG members to pass on positive messages around our health & wellbeing and we would encourage all of our members to get involved.

In the coming weeks/month, we will start to roll out various online initiatives for our members to get involved in. These will include:

·         Home work-outs (provided by the amazing Chloe Blair at Winners Fitness). Chloe has been running all of our fitness classes this year and we are working with Chloe to set this up within the next week - more information will be provided tomorrow.

·         Live breakfast seminars via Instagram – we are going to ask those that were meant to be delivering the breakfast seminars over the coming months to deliver these via Instagram instead. Our members will be able to ask questions directly to the individual delivering each breakfast seminar via the Instagram live platform.

·         Weekly challenges (i.e. hydration and meal prep challenges similar to those that we ran back in September).

·         Weekly top tips on working from home to be shared by a different MYSG committee member via Instagram each week.

If YOU have any other ideas or thoughts that you would like us to share with our members, please email Matthew Flanagan: matthew.flanagan@squirepb.com and we will of course do what we can.

Regular updates will be posted on our various social media platforms (links below) but please join our mailing list for all updates: www.mysg.org.uk. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, however it is imperative to stay safe, be kind and look out for your families, friends and neighbours (especially those that are elderly and/or those suffering from existing medical conditions). If you have any queries or wish to obtain a refund if you have purchased a ticket for the Kiehl’s charity pamper evening or for the food & wine tasting evening at Tast, again, please contact Matthew Flanagan via email: matthew.flanagan@squirepb.com.

Sending my best wishes to you, your families and your friends.

Matthew Flanagan
